Wir haben im Knysna Elephant Park geheiratet. Verheiratet in einem Strohhalm "Lapa", wie sie es dort drüben nennen, und es war absolut atemberaubend. Der Empfang fand direkt neben der Lapa statt, draußen unter einem Zelt über dem Wald. Worte können es nicht beschreiben! :) Es gab Ranger, die bei den Bildern für die Elefanten halfen günstige brautjungfernkleider, aber sie waren so freundlich, dass es unwirklich war. Als Überraschung für unsere Gäste stiegen wir für den Eingang zur Rezeption auf die Elefanten. Ich musste mein Kleid bis über meine Hüften ziehen, um anzukommen; Zum Glück ist mein JA-Kleid elefantensicher! ​ Es war nicht nur meine Hochzeit, es war ein großer, unbeschreiblicher Urlaub meines Lebens, den ich mit 55 meiner Familienmitglieder und Freunde verbringen durfte. Ganz zu schweigen von einem unglaublich talentierten Fotografen, der den ganzen Weg mit mir aus Nordirland angereist ist!
