​ Abbiamo avuto un sacco di progetti fai-da-te e ci siamo divertiti così tanto a passare del tempo insieme a realizzarli nei mesi precedenti il matrimonio. Abbiamo costruito l'arco cerimoniale insieme a diversi grandi cartelli in legno che abbiamo posizionato durante la cerimonia e il ricevimento (cartello di benvenuto di Ashley e Sean; cartello "Posso avere un testimone"; bar; schienali delle sedie del signor e della signora). Per lo spazio della cerimonia, abbiamo progettato e realizzato dei cuscini per riscaldare i banchi e abbiamo aggiunto delle coperte che in realtà erano molto utili in quella fredda giornata di ottobre. Ho sorpreso Sean con il cartello che portavano i nostri nipoti e che aveva il suo soprannome per me. Abbiamo progettato e stampato i programmi e i menu e realizzato striscioni con campane nuziali per gli ospiti per salutare dopo il nostro bacio. Per l'area della reception, abbiamo armeggiato con carte di scorta e segnaposto in foglia d'oro vestiti per 18 anni, un'insegna "BAR", tonnellate di supporti votivi e luci per passerelle. Mia madre mi ha insegnato a ricamare a punto croce quando ero piccola, quindi abbiamo cucito entrambi tutti i numeri del tavolo. Uno dei nostri hobby è la birra fatta in casa e abbiamo fatto la birra per le bomboniere e disegnato le etichette. ​ Nachdem sie zu Ehemann und Ehefrau erklärt worden waren, hüpften die Frischvermählten in die MG, die Katies Mutter während der Zeremonie (mit Hilfe von Freunden) mit dem Dekor „Just Married“ dekoriert hatte. Die Brautjungfern nahmen einen VW-Wohnwagen und die ganze Party kam nach Fawley Fields für den herrlich stilvollen Empfang in diesen wunderbar luftigen Segeltuchzelten. Ich hatte bereits das absolute Vergnügen, die Arbeit von Through The Woods We Ran zu teilen und erinnere mich an ihren fantastischen Sinn für Details und all diese natürlichen und unerwarteten Momente. Es ist so gut, ihre Modernität und ihren Stil in dieser Reihe von Bildern in voller Kraft zu sehen, und ich liebe die Art und Weise, wie sie die schönen Farbtöne der Blumen und des Anfangs ging unser Fotograf, der ein Freund eines Freundes war, eine Woche zuvor in Rente, also verbrachten wir ein paar Tage damit, verzweifelt zu klingeln, um einen anderen Fotografen zu finden.
