Chicken Mexican Soup ( for Canning ) from Food.com: A canning recipe for Chicken Mexican Soup. I came up with this great tasting soup by following safe canning guidelines. I pressure can soup every summer to enjoy through the winter. It is easy and taste great! This recipe makes 7 quarts.

Cowboy Candy - 1 Lbs fresh various peppers sliced 2/3 cup cider vinegar 2 cups sugar 2 tablespoons mustard seed 1/4 teaspoon celery seed 1tablespoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper Slice peppers into rings. Mix cider vinegar, sugar, celery seed, garlic, and cayenne to boil. Reduce for 5 minutes to a simmer. Add jalapenos at the simmer for 5 minutes more. Load jars with jalapenos then add liquid leaving 1/4 headspace. Process 15 min in water bath. makes 2 pints

This hot mess, laid by one of my hens, is often referred to as a “lash egg,” and is a very misunderstood phenomenon in backyard chicken keeping. Lash eggs consist primarily of coagulated pus, not yolk or egg white. I took the liberty of renaming the lash egg more appropriately, a Pus Coagulegg. It’s got a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Unfortunately for the hen, the Pus Coagulegg is no laughing matter as the prognosis for a bird producing them is poor, at best.
