Owen Paterson says the controversial badger cull is the best solution for bovine tuberculosis, as pilot programmes to kill up to 5,000 badgers begin in Gloucester and Somerset. The environment minister claims the UK is the only country that does not kill diseased wildlife that carries it. Anti-cull protesters are advocating a vaccine for TB in badgers

Actor, comedian, naturalist, musician and ex-Goodie Bill Oddie talks to Afshin Rattansi, host of Going Underground, about the badger cull. He explains that despite scientific evidence that the cull wouldn't work, the government ignored scientists and the general public and went ahead with it. He explains how DEFRA and the NFU don't are not representative of the countryside, and that we are at risk of sliding back into a feudal society. Music: Walk In Regret by I Am The Architect All footage belongs to me, Rachael Edge Watching in HD for the best images __ I decided to film some of the grass and flowers I encountered while out walking. The butter cups are my favorite, in general I love how the grass moves and how it looks at ground level and I have tried to capture the elements of these hay fields as best as I could.

Parody of 'Young, Wild and Free' by Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, ft. Bruno Mars. Website: www.ooshmultimedia.co.nz Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/OoshMultimedia Twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/OoshMultimedia Lyrics: [Chorus] So what we chill out, So what we love sheep, We're just having fun, And drink at 18. So what there's no jobs, You can all go to Aussie, But we'll always be Kiwi. [Verse 1] So what I keep a stuffed kiwi on top of my drawer, I chuck my jandals on fresh off the floor, Head outside to play some cricket with the bros, Chur bro, Have a drink out the hose, 'Cos the water's fresh everywhere, With four million tall, We don't need to share, Yea we are small, If you look at a map you won't find us at all, Not part of Aussie, I've about had enough! This is Aotearoa, From Kaitaia to the Bluff. You know what it feels like, We won the cup again, a big smile on my face, looking for the case, trying to find that bitter taste. Got ID, the cops aren't on my case, but Veezy, you're looking quite uneasy, Irrelevant Kicking back, fishing away, mowing lawns for the rest of the day, Beer is the pay, the Kiwi way. Planking like your life's just a game, silver fern, black shirt, Mr Waylon sing that chorus again. [Chorus] So what we chill out, So what we love sheep, We're just having fun, And drink at 18. So what there's no jobs, You can all go to Aussie, But we'll always be Kiwi. [Verse 2] And we don't even care, when we hear you Frenchies cheer, it don't matter, the World Cup is over here! Farming everywhere we're going, got the cash flowing, Sheep, cows, trees and kiwis, we got 'em growing! Whakarongo mai, Maui fished this land, looking for kai, he pulled the sun from the sky, what a choice guy! I come from the land of the long white cloud, the Aussies took the pavlova but the lumps are ours! Now I'm grilling, tuataras be chilling, I got my barbeque, my saussies are sizzling, Got my bike, no job, eight children, Shop at Warehouse, got myself a bargain. L&P, Bumblebee, TV3, Touch Rugby, Watch with me, this is us, true kiwi, and we'll forever be, one big family. [Chorus] So what we chill out, So what we love sheep, We're just having fun, And drink at 18. So what there's no jobs, You can all go to Aussie, But we'll always be Kiwi. [Haka] Haka, haka, slap your legs and we know how to party, Haka, haka, smack your chest and we're having fun, so we just, haka, haka, stamp your feet and then pull your war face, Haka, haka, and jump really high. [Chorus] So what we chill out, So what we love sheep, We're just having fun, And drink at 18. So what there's no jobs, You can all go to Aussie, But we'll always be Kiwi. If you've never seen an ex-battery hen take her first steps on soil, or feel the sunshine on her face for the first time -- then this might be five of the most moving minutes you'll ever see. Battery cages had not only prevented these hens from expressing normal and natural behaviours -- but they denied them of any quality of life. Thanks to Edgar's Mission, they learned to live -- and love -- a life full of all the things that make it worth living. Help us create happy endings for hens everywhere by freeing them from cruelty at www.AnimalsAustralia.org/ladies.

The RSPCA has developed animal welfare standards for the care of layer hens, pigs and meat chickens. The standards ensure that animals in these farming systems are provided with an environment that meets their behavioural and physiological needs. RSPCA Approved free-range and barn-housed layer hens have more space than those raised in conventional systems. They can perch, dustbathe, scratch and forage, and lay their eggs in a nest. Eligible egg producers will be approved if they are able to meet the high standards of welfare required and allow regular inspections to ensure that these conditions are maintained. In this video, we take a look at an RSPCA Approved layer hen farm.

A Vince Bucello production. Most Australian grain farmers in 2011 sow the "No Till" method. Stubble from the crop is left to decompose and act as compost. Moisture is retained by not disturbing the soil by ripping it open with tynes and less compaction is accruing by less traffic on the paddock. This video shows a Serafin S66 (66foot) disc seeder direct drilling (sowing) wheat near Weethalle in the Riverina New South Wales in May 2011. A Vince Bucello film.

The worst drought in 100 years, coupled with a heat wave and temperatures in the high 40s. It's a recipe for disaster and it's struck the heart of Queensland cattle country, with farmers now at breaking point and stock and wildlife dropping like flies. It doesn't sound like the makings of an entertaining yarn, but it's actually an uplifting and timely story this Australia Day. Queensland Weekender host Dean Miller spends a week with the Kinnon family out of Longreach to tell this story. 'Running on Empty' is a Queensland Weekender Australia Day special. A farmstay experience with a difference, as we pay homage to bush resilience despite an ongoing battle against the elements. Sunday, 26 January 2014 - 5:30pm, Channel Seven

This is how I build my worm farms (3 so far) This is easy, Cheap and very productive, Just the way I like it. I have to say that the manure I use comes from our cows, I know what they get injected with, Which is nothing, They do get wormed so I have to stay away during that process.
