The hunt's nutcracker, I bought is a great machine 2010 for cracking black walnuts or any hard nuts, and it even got better with a new dayton motor now attached I bought in June. Best black walnut, butternut and hickory nut cracker I have ever owned. It operates smoothly and allows very precise nut cracking. This is an old school device that makes sweet work of a hard job...breaking those hard black american walnuts.

http://www.ntv.co.ke Farmers in Embu are warning there may be a shortage of macadamia nuts in the region early next year, owing to the purchase of nuts before their maturity by unscrupulous middlemen. A number of farmers in the region are selling their harvests to get their hands on quick cash and in the process losing out on much better prices that their produce would have fetched had they sold it when mature. Ntv's Alex Mwangi with more details.

Olmix and 4 SMEs of Brittany have joined to develop a new sector of full recovery of algae, develop new materials and open up new markets for export. The group called ULVANS (ULves VAlorisation Nutrition Santé), aims to create a new sector of revaluation of algae in Brittany, from harvesting to processing into innovative products in the areas of nutrition and health, animal and plant, and its marketing around the world. ULVANS project will allow the starting up of each of the stages of processing 15,000 tons of green algae to validate the feasibility of the process as well as the development of innovative final products. The ultimate goal is to process more than 60,000 tons of algae per year. During this industrial project, several steps will be carried out involving innovative technologies: collection of green algae in the sea using a new technology of pumping and pressing, storage of algae in industrial quantities, refining of algae, the creation of new products for the sectors of health, animal and vegetal nutrition, the valorization of the whole of the processed seaweed material.
