London's Tower Bridge uses electric power today, but from 1894-1976, the bridge was raised through pressurized water stored in several hydraulic accumulators. The onsite exhibit allows you to walk across the two upper level walkways as well as through the original engine room. As for the color scheme, it was originally painted a greenish-blue, but in 1977, the Tower Bridge was painted red, white and blue for Queen Elizabeth II's...
