Besalú is a great day trip from Girona, in the Spanish region of Catalonia. This old medieval town on the river is small but full of lovely things to visit and beautiful views. It doesn't take long to see, but what's there is worth a stop just for how pretty every corner of it is. One fun thing to see - the miniature museum, filled with teeny tiny pieces of #art.
