This year marks the centennial of the Lassen Peak eruption. On May 22, 1915, an explosive eruption devastated the surrounding area that became Lassen Volcanic National Park a year later. Lassen is one of the least visited National Parks. Now that we’ve been there, we are a little confused about how it could possibly be so empty.
