Red Wine by Siduri from Russian River, California. The 2013 Siduri Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir is a rare combination of fruit and acidity. The Keefer Ranch, located in the Green Valley area of the Russian River Valley, always seems to produce wines with abundant fruit. In fact, a large part of the outstanding reputation of this vineyard is based on this forward fruit character. In our mind, that is all the more reason to work to weave additional complexity into the wine. Through the use of whole clusters on certain lots to a particular strict barrel selection we have worked to combine this forward fruit character with a backbone of earth and forest elements. While this wine drinks well early, our Keefer Ranch Pinots have a habit of aging quite well and we believe that will be the case with this wine as well.
