It is used mainly for growing olives, there are about 20,000 olive trees covering 110 hectares. The Frantoio and Moraiolo olives are picked by hand during the end of the year and pressed in the estate mill. There is also extra virgin olive oil produced in the estate "Laudemio" which has a high nutrition value. All of these apartments were once an ancient single building or a convent building. Another interesting site in the estate include the Villa, the primary home of the estate. The Chiostro, the dining hall and the storage room are now used for conducting food and olive oil tasting, parties, functions and business meetings. Most importantly, they have been used for hosting the famous Fattoria di Maiano music and theatre festival.
